Memphis police are investigating a now-deadly shooting outside Oak Court Mall in East Memphis.
Officers on the scene told us the victim was shot in the parking lot while leaving Dillard’s department store and walking to his car.
He was rushed to the hospital in critical condition but later died from his injuries.
Investigators have Oak Court Drive shut down right now, the road running beside the mall off Poplar Avenue.
Police say the suspect(s) were in a silver Toyota, possibly a Camry. Investigators believe the suspect(s) pulled onto Oak Court Drive, got out of the car and fired toward the parking lot.
Carmen King, general manager of Oak Court Mall, told WMC they are working with police on the investigation.
